I am Diné (Navajo) photographer. I’ve been a professor at Northern Arizona University for over 20 years. I’ve taught commercial photography, photojournalism/documentary, and fine art photography. One of the first indigenous photographers to be accepted into Southwestern Association of Indian Arts show in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
My art have been published in magazines and periodicals like: The New York Times, The Guardian, Esquire, Arizona Republic, PDN magazine and many numerous American Indian newspapers.
Shows I’ve partaken in include:The Autry Museum of The American West in Los Angeles, Ca. The Smithsonian’s Museum of  The American Indian in New York, NY. The Cherokee Art Market in Tulsa, Oklahoma. S.W.A.I.A. In Santa Fe, NM.
I was also able to exhibit Diné (Navajo) culture to the world during the Winter Olympics of 2002 in Salt Lake City, UT. My fluency of Diné language and culture enables me to create photographs that are rich, authentic. I am able to share my rare and unique perspective of how I see the world as a Diné photographer.
